We work together with over 500 partners each year to provide innovative literacy, numeracy, and foundational skills support for under-represented groups in Canada.
Our programs reach nearly 30,000 children, youth, and adults in over 200 communities each year. These programs are free, high-impact, adaptable, and are delivered by community hubs and networks across the country.
Our reports ensure transparency, accountability, and engagement with our partners and funders.
Discover United for Literacy's impact through compelling stories and statistics. Each annual report features messages from our president and the chair of the Board of Directors, detailed program statistics, and highlights of significant events and stories from the year. We also recognize award recipients, acknowledge our supporters, community partners, and donors, and provide an overview of our financials.
At United for Literacy, we believe literacy is a fundamental right that impacts every aspect of our lives. The ability to read, write, and do math profoundly influences our well-being. Each year, we host a national forum to examine the critical role of literacy in various facets of life, featuring different topics such as literacy's impact on AI, civic engagement, and mental health. Our panel of specialists and experts discuss the challenges faced by individuals, employers, and communities, and explore how literacy can help overcome these challenges.
By subscribing to our newsletter, you will stay up-to-date and receive an invitation to join. The forum is free to attend and typically takes place in the fall.
