January 27 is Family Literacy Day, an occasion to promote families reading and learning together. All over Canada, events and activities will take place to encourage parents, grandparents, and everyone else to read with young family members.
It’s important for children to be supported and for reading to be a fun part of everyday life. Early interest in books is shown to lead to an ongoing interest in reading and learning.
